pachai sundakkai vathak kuzhambu

All you need is pachai sundakkai, oorina karuppu kondai kadalai, silla narukkina thengai, and other normal ingredients for VK.
Break the sundaikkai into one or two( ada! nasunkungappa) wash it thoroughly as to remove all the seeds.
Pour nallennai tamper with kadugu, kadaliparuppu,kariveppillai
add broken sundaikkai, cut thengai, rock salt,sambaar podi,
then add tamarind water allow it to boil
add boiled kadalai
add bit of jaggery
finally add arisimaavu to get the consistency
Now take a plate, put hot rice, pour some nallennai,our VK thotukka sutta appalam
what else you need.
your life is done yaar!

    nothing to beat the combo of sutta appalam with VK!

  3. i plucked some fresh pachai sundakkais from my garden in assam. about 1/2 a kg. i know it is very medicinal and would like to use it. i don't even have tamil friends over here in digboi to share some. i cant make vathals coz it rains here very erractically.which is ruled out. should i deseed all of it. or if i put some in the freezer and make fresh vks as n when reqd. we store green peas in freezer at the season's end to use it later for dishes. i have many keerais also here.its a rain forest place and thanks to my father who used to show me many plants when we were small kids. now i can identify the greens but know not how to use it.
